The Plaza, A Fairmont Managed Hotel

The Palm Court

  • The Edwardian Room

The famous Edwardian Room, with its beamed ceilins, wood paneling and incredible history, is available exclusively for private functions. Located at the corner of Manhattan's most desirable address, The Edwardian Room at The Plaza encompasses New York’s staple sights through large windows overlooking Central Park, Grand Army Plaza, the Pulitzer Fountain and 5th avenue. The Grand Spanish Renaissance Revival style space, with its paneled oak wainscoting, elaborate trussed ceiling, stenciled decorations and mirrors is available for private events accommodating up to 300 individuals with multiple set up opportunities.

  • Executive Boardroom

The Plaza’s Executive Boardroom is located on the 11th floor and provides the perfect space for high-level meetings, offering you and your delegates both privacy and security. The boardroom accommodates up to 16 executives and features a large conference table with padded executive chairs, the latest AV equipment, non-fixed furniture for full flexibility, and a customized catering menu perfect for conference lunches. A dedicated Meeting & Events Specialist will assist with all planning details.

  • Grand Ballroom

The Plaza’s fabled Grand Ballroom has been the setting for hundreds of lavish events, including Truman Capote’s 1966 “Black and White Ball” to honor Washington Post publisher, Kay Graham. Capote said he chose The Plaza “because it has the only beautiful ballroom left in New York.”

  • The Oak Room

Often referred to as a core piece of the DNA that makes New York City, The Oak Room at The Plaza provides an elegantly paneled, German Renaissance Revival-style space that takes you back in time. With frescoes of Bavarian castles and a grape-laden chandelier topped by a barmaid hoisting a stein hanging from the twenty-foot high ceiling, this room is unlike anything else available in Manhattan. Host your next private event in a room that has seen it all. The Oak Room and Oak Bar at The Plaza can be set for conferences, weddings, seminars and panels for up to 140 people.

  • The Palm Court

The iconic Palm Court offers bespoke furnishings that provide a relaxed, yet elegant setting well-suited for either a professional breakfast meeting or an evening of cocktails crafted by our expert mixologists. Afternoon Tea truly shines with custom tableware and china, a tea list with worldly depth, and of course, a bit of Eloise too. This elegant room marked with its stained glass dome and impressive height adds a touch of old New York to a very polished and modern sense of hospitality.

  • Terrace Room at The Plaza

One level below the Grand Ballroom lies the Terrace Room, a setting rich with its own history and charm. Meticulously restored to its original grandeur, the Terrace Room holds some of the most exquisite architecture within The Plaza. The original crystal chandeliers made by Charles Winston (brother of famed jeweler, Harry), replicates those within the Palace of Versailles. Striking yet elegant, the Terrace Room truly is a jewel within The Plaza. As a compliment to the Grand Ballroom, or, on its own, The Terrace Room plays host to a variety of New York events and meeting – large and small.
